Sat the 1st

 Hey guys,

Just starting a post for this week.  There's a chance that I may be able to run Sat the 8tb.  Let you know more later.  So have fun this Sat and hope to see you next.

Situation and Theme: Dusk of Freedom 4 – MidKnight
Iego is discovered and besieged. Following a campaign to route the Empire from the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy, someone betrayed the continued existence of dissidents at Iego to the Empire, which led to an imperial attack on the lone rogue planet. Although it was well defended, there was no way to truly win against the Executor and half-dozen Praetor II-class battle cruisers, but Iego's rag-tag defense fleet, resident super weapon, allied mandalorian house, pirate assistance and new rebel allies were able to repel the attack before the planet itself was bombarded. Millius Prime, the moon-based home of the super weapon was bombarded, however the weapon itself was not successfully attacked. Although Imperial losses were trivial compared to the losses at Iego, the Empire did flee after the destruction of two Praetors instead of risking the loss of more dreadnoughts. The cost of this victory was immense; the Empire focused its attacks on larger capital ships to ensure lasting damage on its way to attack the super weapon, cutting the combat strength of allied fleets in half, and killing more than half of Iego's residents.
The Empire didn't just fleet. Imperial patrols are now attempting to blockade the planet while staying out of range of its resident super weapon. This prevents true containment, but will hamper travel and trade. It is only an inconvenience to the devastated mandalorian fleet, but is much more dangerous to Iego's plans for trade and the multiple identities of Iego's local “heroes”. It is also clear that Darth Vader himself is looking for the Jedi Commander who assisted in the routing of the fleet at Gamor, Teth and Rorak. He is leaving a path of destruction in his wake, making even optimistic rebels fearful of jedi “help”.
The heroes now have many hard choices to make. Having made enemies of Darth Vader himself, and to a lesser extent, Moff Tarkin, they are being hunted. The safest place, ironically, is the watched and guarded rogue planet, Iego. The weapon on Millius Prime and resident Lucrehulk is keeping them at bay, but they will amass another fleet to put down the nascent rebellion at some point. The choice for our heroes now, is on how to lay low without giving up the fight against the empire, or how to escape death if they continue to distract Darth Vader. For their part, the House Krevan is back to building resources. Its fleet and troop numbers have been cut in half, but as mercenaries, it is continuing on. They have never lost this much in a fight, but have also never faced a fleet of dreadnoughts. This may be their new normal, and they will adapt or die trying.
Iego has also gained significant notoriety among the rest of the galaxy for their public exchange of prisoners through Hutt intermediaries. This was a strange win for the rebel alliance, as Imperial heroes were returned to the empire after being released from imprisonment at Iego in exchange for political dissidents and Imperial deserters held in expensive imperial prisons. Oddly, the rebels have been able to rally around this as well, as their non-violent heroes are released to the custody of Iego; which the Empire is selling to the public now as an independent prison.
Story 4 is an intermission; trying to get enough sleep to recharge before the galaxy bursts into flame. Dissidents are recognizing they aren't alone, but are millions of people across the galaxy who might win, if they work together. The voice of a child begging seekers of justice and freedom to band together against and an unjust and tyranical empire has kindled a flame that may be blown out before it lights a fire... or maybe... just maybe... a new hope could burn bright across the galaxy.

XP for 20210925: 100 XP, total should now be 2850+racial. Please purchase that last dedication.
Do you now have more rank four characteristics, or a rank five?

Iego is now under a threatening blockade, but one that is only really effective against those afraid of imperial entanglements. Their quarantine fleet is set too far form the planet to really stop anyone from entering or leaving, but they do take occasional pot shots at anyone who attempts to just fly by them. Bypassing them merely requires a micro jump, and several navigators have already plotted more routes out than they can inspect. The mandalorians make a show of flying by them when they enter or leave, with longer range weapons making challenging them currently too costly for the Empire.
Moria does have several missions lined up while her ships are being repaired. Outer rim worlds are requesting help breaking imperial blockades long enough for evacuations or supply deliveries. Imperial resistors are only now realizing that any off-world dependence is more deadly than blue shadow if you don't accept imperial slavery; they will just starve you out. Moria can only accept contracts where smaller fleets are enforcing starvation sieges since many of her vessels need significant repairs, but smaller evacuation missions can be taken by our heroes in the Hutt's Bounty if they aren't interested in more fleet battle against imperial fleets.
They do have an award ceremony planned for the group; for their recently inducted force sensitives in particular. She wants to create a group independent from the house and clan for force sensitives who will be to the mandalorians what the jedi were to the republic. Not a clan in their own right, or separate from their clans of birth or adoption, but like the Mandalorian Protectors, a group made of member of all clans for a purpose. In this case, not only for training force-sensitive mandalorians, but also to give them purpose in addition to the glory of their clan, and also to make them seem less like a bid for House Krevan power and more of an asset to all mandalorians.
While not on missions, everyone has work to do. Cleanup from the battle isn't as profitable as previous battles, the dreadnoughts were far more thorough in their destruction, but mass-is-mass-is-energy, so collecting scrap metal from orbit is important.

Are we able to purchase a new career after purchasing the dedication?

can we recover rony's ship? also catch up to that last Jedi?
