Saturday, May 26th

Hey guys.

Well, Kevin brought us a fight and we eventually took care of it.  It was a long fight and a very good one.  He says we have a month of downtime to sell and craft items.  Remember, I have an NPC that can craft just about anything, even technology and cybernetics and can basically keep making things and if Kevin is ok with this, "hand" deliver the items to us if we happen to leave while it is still under construction.

This coming week I believe Dwight said that he can continue his Star Wars game.  Not sure where or what we were doing when we last left our merry band of whatever we ares'.

Who can be there this weekend?

Comments:
I should be able to make it and I'll try to get there early this time.

Sorry All, I was just informed the planned trip to NC,is un-canceled. I will be driving my mom to visit my sister and her family for the weekend.

Got board games and movies. Black Panther is out on video already, and I've got that if there is anyone who hasn't seen it (and a million other movies). Haven't tried dragonfire yet, but also not bored of crossfire yet (but you guys might be).

Planning beef and potatoes for dinner.

Also, need to figure out how to continue my IK game... I just don't know how to get to the next point. I'll think of something eventually. Pretty much just had SW on my mind since we started playing that.

Also, I got MWO installed and patched. I'm only trying to figure out the controls in the academy at the moment. What faction are you guys in?

I have not seen Black Panther and want to see it, so, that will be a good thing to watch Saturday.

I'm not in any faction with MWO, so, don't know what to tell you there.

Rasalhague is our faction in MWO. It's the blue-green Nordic guys near the top of the faction map.

My available this weekend will be limited and unpredictable because of work, but I know I won't be available Monday, barring some miracle where everything goes right... or the opposite of that where everything goes wrong. Not sure about Saturday.

Oh, for MWO, a few quick tips:
- Always get Double Heat Sinks in every mech. Ther is literally no reason to play the game without them. All Clan mechs come with them by default, but most Inner Sphere ones do not.
- Focus on "boating" weapons and front-loaded damage. In short, minimize the number of different weapons you have so you can fire a bunch of weapons of the same type at once. Note that you have to work around "ghost heat" when doing this. The game will tell you in the Mech lab if your mech has too many weapons of the same type and would thus produce extra heat
- Almost always fully armor your mech. There's really no reason not to do this, and lightly armored mechs die... a lot.

Just got home at 1:30 AM from my other group. Its not normal to play this late, but we had to do character creation for the other half of the group (still two players w/o characters), so we didn't start playing until really late. Still had fun though; I"m sure I threw the adventure off the rails by inviting a group of primitives to come live at a base we stole from some imperials who might be back any minute to take it back. We needed labor, they would like a nicer place to live, so its an almost fair trade. The other half of the party that wasn't with me making a mockery of the social character's attempts at negotiation went off to get our labor need fulfilled via trading for enough droids to do the work. At least the GM seemed amused. "welcome to the rebellion, send us your poor, your sick and your reckless... I mean really, we'll take anyone and make them a commander after one lucky shot, so come on in."

Had fun, that's all that matters.

Hope we have enough people to play some games.
