Cinco de Geeko
Hey Guys,
Hope you've been having fun the past couple of weekends while I've been away. Sorry to hear Dwight is still ill, get better soon man. Can't wait to catch up on stuff and hear how International Tabletop Day went. Which leads me to next week.
I should be running Pathfinder on the 5th with a small surprise to celebrate the day. To recap last session, the party searched through the wrecked alien spaceship and discovered the entrance to hidden complex of the evil brain collecting aliens. The party has made it to the final stage of the module, ready to eliminate the evil brain collectors and their aberrant monstrosities. You've already defeated the scorpion-like monster robot (turned it to dust actually), but still have to deal with space crabs, an intellect devourer who wears a dragon for a meat suit, several heavily armed 4-armed aliens, and who knows what else (actually I do) in the complex. So who will be there for the all the messy fun this Sat??

I'll be there and I'll try to get there early.
I'd also like to comment that everybody that is coming or not needs to post early, no matter who is running. Last two weeks Terry has been expecting at least half the group to show up, only to get either just myself or myself and Rob. And he hasn't known this until either late Friday night or Saturday. And two weeks ago he had purchased a lot of hamburger meat to make hamburgers for everybody but Matt and Kevin, only to find out at the last minute, it was just going to be Rob and myself. Terry puts out a good deal of money to get us food and to cook said food for us and he doesn't really ask for much in return. Terry has told us that he generally goes shopping for his cooking session for our group on Friday nights after he gets off work. The least everybody can do it to check the board and to report no later than Thursday night if you are coming or not. I know Curtis doesn't have a way to post on here or can't or whatever, but if Matt or Dwight can post for him whether he is coming or not, that would be great.

I'm not particularly mad about the leftover food, its a little annoying, so as much notice as you can give me is helpful in planning. Its more frustrating to not make alternate plans for entertainment on Saturday because I thought I already had plans.
I do understand that there are emergencies that we cannot control, and I do understand that people sometimes needs a break from our group. I just sometimes need more than a couple hours to plan. I don't actually buy food on Fridays very often, I usually meet with my other group, so I only occasionally have time to shop Friday night. I usually finish my shopping on Thursday night, but I do sometimes have time to cook for my other group, so letting me know by Thursday night at least reduces food waste.

Sorry about it, it just things look better Monday and then by Friday, it sucks. I have a doctors appointment this Friday, I wont know what else is going on till then.
Chile verde for dinner, probably some beef for a backup. Got cheese, salsa, refried beans and sour creme.
Doc said i didn't get enough meds, so i got 3 pills:
antibiotic (poo pill)
water pills (pee pill)
Potassium pills (may cause dizziness and blurred vision)
Gonna be fun this week end and more feet propped up.

I convinced my other group to try the SW game. So they're running the Age of Rebels canned adventures. The canned adventures don't have duty rewards (or mention duty in any way) and the pre-made characters aren't actually legal characters (so far, I've just noticed that they combined the pilot skills, which will need to be fixed somehow in order to continue the game past the canned adventures; it also makes me suspect there are other "simplifications" made that will need to be rectified).
But was a fun night. We were fooled by the enemy into running off individually to trap an escaping enemy only to discover that he'd run somewhere else forcing into a disorganized and severely disadvantaged chase, but we eventually won... Did you know that an AT-ST can outrun some starships, or at least run at the same speed as a starfighter/speeder bike. SW technology is really advanced that way... still fun though.
Anyways, needed to talk SW a bit, had SW on the brain for a while now, and needed more outlets. Another animated series will be starting in fall, can't wait.
