Saturday, September 2nd - Labor Day Weekend
Ok, so, Kevin said that he was not going to be here this weekend. I think I also heard that Dwight was not going to be showing up. So, it falls onto whomever to run something this weekend, because last time we played Terry's game, there was some bad vibes going around at the end of the night and he said that he was ending the campaign.

I will be there and since it is a holiday weekend, I do NOT have to work. So, I will try to get there when I can.
The dinner plan is steak and potatoes.
Bring any Iron Kingdoms or Only War books you have. I'm still not ready to restart the rifts game or start exalted.
Maybe thoughts of being able to play IK or Only War will be enough to get Curtis to join us when I'm running a game.

Game ideas:
IK (might be ready by Saturday): Cygnaran campaign. Recent military academy graduates assigned to a town that was once a mining town, but is now an industrial town/military fort. Star time is in the year 600, before khador take llael and the thornwood forest. Campaign theme will be dealing with hidden dangers in the old mines, and fighting off other entities interested in the dangers in the mines. The group will be an "unorthodox engagement team", who may also have a role to play in the thornwood war when the game advances to the year 605 (for a good excuse to let loose with heavy 'jacks).
OW (Less likely to be ready, but could do chargen if this one sounds better): The characters are from what might be considered a group of young forge worlds somehow protected from the worst practices of the priesthood of mars while receiving all of the benefits of the technocrats seeming patronage. All comes at a price, but even so, it is probably worth the price. The campaign will be about being sent to war zones around the imperium... like all other OW campaigns. Interacting with other units will be part of the character of the game, with fighting off the worst alien invasions and demonic incursions being the theme of the battles.
Rifts (not ready yet, but still interested): Want to rebuild characters with slightly different rules and consolidate some planets that the characters are most interested in and influential in. Aurthur's activities will feature a lot in the background thanks to Rick's influence, but I need to figure out how to get you guys involved in the forge war/minion war before running the invasion of Center adventure.

Kevin stopped by the store last night and was looking for everybody, but only talked to Rob and myself. He wanted to know what everybody's plans were for Monday. I told him I don't know yet, as my Staples schedule has not be put out yet for next week. I should hopefully know tonight if I'm working on Monday or not.
Got my schedule for next week and yes, I do have to work Monday evening from 5 pm to 11 pm. So, I probably wont be able to do anything on Monday. :(
If anyone sees this before coming over on Saturday, I need sour creme (I intend to cook baked potatoes).

Ok, so checked with the store, they are open regular hours til 9 on Labor Day. I will be at the store tomorrow, hopefully between 330 and 4 pm. Good chance for board games or if you guys want to meet and get something to eat. Paul, sorry you have to work. See you tomorrow.
