Black Friday and the 30th

Hey all,

Congratulations, the party has finally made it to Xin Shalast.  Fighting their way through snow, giants, and landsharks, the heroes have entered the ruined capital of Karzoug.  Now you must find a way through the protective occlusion to field to penetrate into Karzoug's fortress.  Where can you find the means to do so??  Maybe your new friends will be of help.

This weekend is the game-a-thon on Friday.  I know some of you have to work and some will be out of town, but does anyone want to get together at the store??  Not sure if you have to pay to just hang out there, I wasn't planning on it (I'm not really interested in playing til 3 AM or eating lunch and dinner there).  I'll check on that Weds.

Also, this weekend I'd like to continue with Pathfinder.  The party is getting closer to the climax of this campaign and soon will be facing Karzoug himself.  But first they must survive his minions.  So who wants to beat up some yeti's and loot a dragon's hoard??  See you this weekend.

Comments:
Ok, I'll be there Saturday.

As for Friday, I've sent a message to Ed on Facebook and asked him about the Game-a-thon. Haven't heard back from him yet.

And for those that saw the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, check out this remake of the "Five Doctors": http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01m3kfy

Ok, so, I never heard back from Ed, but I did message George as well and this is what he had to say:

"You need a ticket to be in the backroom on Friday. The front retail area will be as normal, I believe. Like with the old Game-A-Thon, you were welcome to come and shop but you couldn't go upstairs to game on Game-A-Thon."

I replied and asked if we could at least go into the back room and get a board game, but I have not heard back from him yet. Maybe later today I will hear back. So, if we can't even go into the back room to get a game, are we still going up there?

Ok, heard back from George and this is what he has to say:

"So I just checked with the powers that be...

All table space is reserved fro the Game-A-Thon. All of the table space in the front will be used for Black Friday displays, etc.

So the answer is YES. You must have a Game-A-Thon ticket/bracelet to game in the store on Friday."

So, we wont be able to do any gaming on Friday at the store, unless we have a ticket. So, if we want to do any kind of gaming, we will have to go to someone's house to game.

Ok, so, since we can't game at the store on Friday, I'm going to join my Thursday group on Friday. They are hosting their own version of a Game-a-thon, with different games throughout the day.

Paul -- thanks for checking. I don't have the money to pay for a pass, so I will just skip the Game a thon and see you guys Saturday.

Speaking of Saturday, I'm not sure I'll be able to make it. I was suppose to get a check at the beginning of this week, but it never came. I have like $4 to my name and not that much gas left in my tank. I had hoped to have gotten a little help from my grandmother today, but wasn't lucky. So, unless that check arrives by Saturday, or I get some help from someone else, I'm not going to be able to make it Saturday, much less have gas for work on Monday.

Paul -- I can help you with the gas. I'll get a hold of you via Facebook when I get back to MD this afternoon and set something up for later.

And last but not least, experience awards. Each PC gets 56304 xp.

Oddly enough, I will be there today.

I am so used to my usual Thanksgiving vacation (Wednesday through Saturday) that I forget last weekend that it would be from Tuesday trough Friday this year. So, I'm back from vacationing in NC and will be there today.
