17 JAN 2026 - Food and maybe chaos in Houston

If I recall correctly, everyone has plans this weekend. I'll be able to run if anyone's plans change; just give me a call. I'm not certain what I''m cooking for dinner, but I have ham and rice as a backup if I don't find something else I'd like.

Arc 1 Regression Begins the Final Countdown

You’re back on the conveyor belt, hung from a pair of hooks under your arms while a large-bore needle injects nanomachines into your lower back and the back of your head. Is this where it all began… no… its just the place is space where it began for you, but not the “when” it began. Clearly Raven has been dealing with this for much longer than you’d been aware of it, and clearly it wasn’t her first time. Her call for you to save here before you sent her back doesn’t make much sense, given how much more powerful and knowledgeable she is.

Your contemplation is interrupted when the hooks drop you to the floor where you crumple to the ground and struggle to get up, the anesthetic wearing off leaving your brain foggy with pain instead of drugs. Your lizard-brain takes over so you can stagger towards the door to the assembly room outside the locker rooms; the room that will be one of your linked teleportation targets when your critanium reactor finishes assembling in your lower back. The pain of the working nanomachines, combined with the added 30 kg of mass is making in hard to think while the other muscles attached to your soul give you pain in places you weren’t aware of a few minutes ago. Tattoos you were not supposed to have yet etch their way into your skin, bleeding through time and space to follow the soul they were attached to years ago/from now.

With what feels like lethal fatigue you stumble into the training room to meet your keeper drone and get bonded to the weapon you will be using (Star Marine Plasma HMG if you can use weapons with a d8 Strength requirement, or Star Marine Plasma Rifle if your carrying capacity is lower). With your weapon bonded, your lizard-brain autopilot has your stagger into the SABRE training room against the directions of Captain Tempo where you get a basic overview of the SABRE training while trading out one of your modules and establishing that you can use SABRE abilities to anyone who is watching. Next its to the locker rooms for final gear-up before meeting in the main summoning room; the Spawn Point. You rush through the “account creation” menu to establish your name and team while the Captain describes the polite fiction of your indentured servitude and your debt to humanity.

Your team looks like hell, somehow drooping while in rigid heavy armor. Simultaneously, your team is the most prepared in spite of the fatigue and drug-induced confusion. The site-to-site teleportation engages, sending you to a site two kilometers south of a mining camp on Sigir Gamma. You barely remember the first missions, but still remember the disappointment of not being rewarded as well for completion of the mission as those who just killed as many of te weaker bugs as possible… maybe this time you can do both.

As the Captain calls for the start of the mission you weren’t really listening too, its time to run north towards a small camp that should contain 15 survivors and a dozen combatant bugs along with a few non-combat bugs.

03 JAN 2026 - New years dimentional chaos - Houston Fuck Yeah

Trying this again. Hopefully everyone can make it.

Not sure whats for dinner yet, I have a few options and I’ll pick based on what I feel like when I wake up.

You’ve taken the path offered by the Artificial Intelligence, and stepped into his “Room of Requirement”. It is an extra-dimensional path that leads you to what you need, not necessarily what you want. You goal is to save the archology that has been abducted wholly by the controllers of the military unit manipulating you into the alternate universe; planting it on Sigir Alpha, a tiny planet with earth-normal gravity in spite of being less than 1% its size. The archology is apparently a crippled or incomplete space ship, but isn’t safe on the alien planet with hostile bugs moving towards it.

You need to somehow get the archology back to its location on Earth, your Earth. The A.I. told you he didn’t know the best way, but that you would find a solution if you used his Room of Requirement (and he chuckled at the Harry Potter Reference that is out dated in 2096). After navigating the extra-dimensional labyrinth, you emerged in a medieval-looking room, each from a different portal on the perimeter of the circular room looking towards the throne on a raise platform, standing with strangely dressed nobles. Your power armor isn’t with you, so you appear in the undersuits you normally wear under the power armor.

You are greeted with much ceremony and told the name of the Great House you are summoned to join and serve. You are subjected to the houses training regime which granted you archetypal skills and abilities of the house, which means their members are skilled and powerful (You each gained am arcane background, one skill point for the arcane background, then three skill points for smart-related skills through this training).

You have been issued plasma pistols and symbolic swords along with appropriate attire for you house and archetype. (Armor is +4 armor, +2 toughness, can be worn under clothing and a cloak/cape with house symbol on it adding +2 armor and +1 toughness. Plasma pistol is range 5/10/20, 2d10 damage (+2d6 on a raise). Sword is a Psi-Blade, Str + d8 AP 4, may spend ISP to increase the damage by two points (max +6 dmg))

You are being sent on a mission to meet with the emperor to discuss the recent reduction in unobtanium shipments to the great houses. It is expected that this will result in the house scions (the summoned heroes) being sent on a ridiculous quest. You are promised great (but unspecified) rewards upon successful return, and to be sent back to your home dimension when complete. So far, the training seems to have made the trip worth it as most of the heroes have studied the advanced science of this dimension and may be able to apply it to upgrading or fixing the archology.

Your goal is to get something that will help you "save" the archology from the situation of being moved to a hostile planet. You don't know what you'll find, only that the path you took to get here was supposed to provide an answer.

The adventure is a book adventure based on the science fiction companion, I'm trying to find a way to include components of another adventure.
